Sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata nees) is an herb that is widely used for herbal medicine. bitter herb is a plant of the family Acanthaceae from India and Sri Lanka, but now are found in the area of Java Indonesia. Sambiloto also encountered in many countries Malaysia, Thailand and in some American continent. Andrographolid contains bitter compounds, which is a bicyclic diterpenoid lactone compound. Bitter compounds were first discovered in 1911 by Gorter. Also has a bitter chemical constituents saponins, and tannins, pavlonoida.

Other chemical constituents present in the leaves and stems are laktone, panikulin, kalmegin and yellow crystal that has a bitter taste. Traditionally used to bitter herbal medicines.
Sambiloto efficacious for treating :
1. Abdominal Typhus
Take 13 fresh sambiloto leaves, then wash. Boil 2 cups of water until cooked until the remaining 1 cup of water. Once cool strain the cooking water into a glass. Add 1 tablespoon of honey, mix well and drink 1 a day.
2. Dysentery and Diarrhea
Take 13 grams of dried leaves, then wash. Dau is boiled with 4 cups of water to boil and the remaining 2 cups. Drinking cold stew after 2 times a day, each 1 cup. Add 1 tablespoon of honey to the boiling water before drinking to drown out the bitter taste.
3. Flu, Headaches and Heat

4. Influenza, Pneumonia and Pulmonary Tuberculosis

7. High Blood

8. Mouth Infection
Rinse and dry plants. Pound the plant until smooth, add 1 cup of water in a 4 gram powder plant. Drink boiled water with 1 tablespoon of honey.
9. Paringitis

10. Ear infections

11. Diabetes
